The multi-national DeepSiren Industry Team comprises three companies; Raytheon Network Centric Systems (Marlborough Massachusetts USA), Ultra Electronics Maritime Systems (Dartmouth Nova Scotia Canada) and RRK Technologies Ltd. (Glasgow Scotland United Kingdom). The team collectively embodies the broad knowledge, experience, industrial capability, and technical innovation required to make the innovative concept of the DeepSiren tactical paging system a practical reality.
Raytheon NCS, a world-class provider of networking, command and control, situational awareness, and mission system integration capabilities to a global customer base, leads the DeepSiren Industry Team. Ultra Electronics Maritime Systems; a leader in the design and manufacture of air-launched acoustic sensor systems, contributes its first-class sonobuoy manufacturing and design expertise. RRK Technologies Ltd., the original architect and designer of the DeepSiren acoustic communications algorithms and protocols, contributes more than twenty years of underwater communications design experience and user-base knowledge.
Since forming in 2006, this team’s collective capabilities have enabled it to solve a broad range of challenging technical issues; to produce a reliable hybrid satellite/acoustic very long range through-water tactical paging and communications system. This system has been successfully trialed by the Royal Navy in a realistic multi-platform operational scenario. The system capability is also being developed for other applications such as a broad area submerged navigation aid and command and control of underwater devices at extended ranges.

Rheinmetall Defence Electronics company Profile
Exhibitor:
DSG Technology, located near Oslo, Norway, is a specialist developer of underwater and multi-environment supercavitating ammunition, the company’s proprietary patented technology that delivers unparalled ballistic performance from standard weapons in air and water.
This break-through technology delivers exceptional capabilities underwater, from air to water and from water to air, even when used with standard, unmodified weapons and enables highly innovative new applications for ASW, MCM and underwater operations.
DSG’s development team includes some of the world’s leading experts and specialists in the field of supercavitating projectile development, responsible for numerous patents and patent applications on the subject. DSG also undertakes research and development, testing, prototyping, application-verification and related consultancy services.
Scalable Solutions, New Maritime Threats & New Counter Measures
DSG’s supercavitating technology works with all calibres from 4.5mm through to 155mm and is also proven on much larger projectiles, including torpedoes, with correspondingly dramatic performance gains and for these new threats DSG offers new counter measures, even against high-speed submerged targets.
This technology offers new capabilities for ASW, MCM, UUVs and Littoral Combat Ships and promises a realistic defence against new high-speed undersea threats to surface vessels and submarines.
DSG is a subsidiary of Bertel O Steen AS, the industrial and defence group founded in 1901 in Norway; a supplier of submarines, aircraft and defence technology to the Norwegian Government.
